Congratulations! You have been nominated for a 2008 Detroit Music Award. For a complete list of nominees , please go to http://www.detroitmusicawards.com and click on NOMINEES at the top of the home page.

The Detroit Music Awards will be held on Friday April 25, 2008 at the Fillmore, 2115 Woodward Ave. in Downtown Detroit. The main awards show will commence at 7:00 pm with doors opening at 6:30.

Because of the sheer number of categories and awards being presented, the majority of awards are presented during a “ NOMINEES ONLY “ Pre show gala each year. We are pleased to announce the 2008 Pre Show Gala will be held this year at Cliff Bells 2030 Park Ave. located directly behind the Fillmore then one block south. Doors open at 4:30, program promptly begins at 5:00 pm. Nominees do not need tickets for the Pre show Gala.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO ATTEND

If your band is nominated for an award, ONLY the band members are given complimentary tickets to the Detroit Music Awards show. If you are nominated in a category as a solo artist or instrumentalist, you and one guest will receive complimentary tickets to the show.

If you are nominated as a solo artist, and you are in a band that is also nominated , you are ONLY entitled to the ticket under the band member clause and the guest option does not apply.

Your reservation will assure that you will have a ticket. That ticket will be available in the Fillmore lobby after 6 PM before the Awards Show. Arrivals after 8 PM will need to purchase a ticket at the door.

If you wish to be seated on the main floor of the event you will need to purchase a table. Tables are available only through me and are available at $1,000.00 for a table of ten seats, $200.00 for a table of four seats or $100.00 for a table of four seats. General admission ( $20.00 ) tickets are available at Ticketmaster or the Fillmore box office as walk ups the night of the show. You may bring up to 5 cd’s to sell at our merchandise tables in the inner lobby that evening.

We will be taking reservations via email only and cannot guarantee that there will be a ticket for you if you do not RSVP to this email. It is vitally important that we hear from you as there are over 400 nominees that need to be seated.

Please return this email with a COMPLETE list of band members names that will be attending along with the band’s name and a phone number for contact. If you are a solo artist that fits the above guest criteria we need to know if you are bringing one.

We will be taking reservations ONLY up until 5:00 pm on April 21.
